Server log files

When the website is accessed, technically necessary access data (including IP address, timestamp, requested resource and user agent) is processed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, stable operation (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). This data is deleted or anonymised after a short period.

Newsletter (double opt-in)

We use the double opt-in procedure for our newsletter: after you sign up, you receive a confirmation email, and we only add you to the distribution list once you confirm. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time with effect for the future — for example via the unsubscribe link in every email.

Cookies & analytics

We use strictly necessary cookies only (session, security). There is no analytics and no tracking; no analytics or tracking services (e.g. Google Analytics, Matomo, Plausible) are loaded. Should we introduce an analytics method in the future, we will obtain any required consent in advance (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 TDDDG) and update this statement.

Amazon Associates programme

On a few pages (such as “Getting started with AI and robotics”) we link books and kits with affiliate links to Amazon.de. These are plain text links: visiting our pages sets no Amazon cookies and transmits no data to Amazon. Only when you click such a link do you move to Amazon's website, where Amazon's privacy notice applies. The link contains our partner ID so that Amazon can credit us with a commission for qualifying purchases. We do not receive any personal data about you in the process.
